Originally introduced from Central and South America, iguanas have become a major threat to Florida’s ecosystem. With few natural predators and rapid reproduction rates, they damage native plants, destroy landscaping, burrow beneath roads and seawalls, and threaten local wildlife habitats.
Our guided hunts provide a safe, legal, and fully customized experience for guests of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re an experienced hunter or simply looking for one of the most unique things to do in Key West, this is an unforgettable Florida Keys adventure.
Iguanas are especially harmful to sensitive native species throughout South Florida and the Florida Keys. Responsible removal helps protect local ecosystems while providing a hands-on outdoor experience unlike any other charter in Key West.
Nothing goes to waste after the hunt. Iguanas may be prepared as a “cook your catch” meal, used for taxidermy souvenirs, or repurposed as bait for local crab traps.

Our guided hunts are available by boat or paddleboard and are offered as either 4-hour or 7-hour private charters, or 2 hour paddleboard tours.
